(NEW)   CELEBRATION OF CHHATH PUJA IN INDIA 

 Chhath parv, chhath or shasthi  puja is a hindu festival celebrated on the shasthi  of kartik sukla paksha ,This unique folk festival suryupasana is mainly celebrated in eastern  (UP) utterpradesh ,bihar jharkhand nepals tarai rigoins of eastern india .This festival, often celebrated by hindus ,has been celebrating other religions  Including islam . 


 How to celebrate this festival ?

The rituals of the festivals rigorous  and are obserb over a period of four days .
This includs holy bathing, fasting and obstaining from drinking water( which is call upwass or vrath ) and standing in water for a long period of time ,and offering prasad and arghya .

When did chhath puja begin:

According to the legends when the Deity was defeated by the asura in the first  Sungram,
Dev Mata Aditi wershiped the sixth maiya in the Dev Surya tample of Devrnya attain the glorious sun.pleased, the sixth maiya gave him the boon of being virtuously endowed son.
After this , Aditi`s son was Tridev Rupa Aditya bhagwan, who gave the victory of the god over the asuras.
It is said that from that time the name of this dham become Dev and the practice of chhath started in the name of Dev Sena Shashthi Devi  .


 Chhath maha parv is celebrated in the world whare our people of Bihar and UP jharkhand are.  During the festival all the rivers and ghats clearly visible beautyfull . All the ghats and river side are decoreted with the flowers and lights.

  1.  This the a very difficult fast  for people and celebreted a lots .
  2.  This fast kept for four days by devotees .
  3.  There is a one special prasad to offering to Surya Dev is called thekua .
